Project overview

A collaborative effort with Dude.sg and TheDoodlePeople to take on IMDA's virtual world initiative. The world will then be used to host IMDA staff who will embody avatars to perform a dance in the virtual space. The final performance will be played at their D&D event at the Ritz Carlton ballroom.

initial research

We listened to our client's needs. They had a vision where the space was fun and enjoyable. A place that feels like a getaway, but at the same time feels relatable to the staff and committee at IMDA. We collected dozens of references from textures to iconic elements such as the red vending machine and the swing. With that, we began the herculean task of building the digital world in 2 days.

the idea

By carefully combining textures and planning spaces, we created a night scene of the office with reimagined versions of how the longue area could look like.

Through techniques such as projection mapping and 3D modelling, we were able to retain iconic elements in the virtual space such as the vending machine and the board room.

We created elements for interaction, including a money gun that could spew money and a chair that could swivel when pressed.
